OMG! This is the most comfortable bra I have ever found. I'm an old, and I have never had a bra that I didn't have to fight with -- the shoulder straps fell off my shoulders; they slid through the hardware and didn't retain the length I set; the back strap binds up on the sides as if I was wearing cups attached to a pair of pantyhose (whose idea was that??); the cups were so thick they're almost bulletproof or they were so thin they didn't provide enough coverage for 'headlights'; everything rode up when I lifted my arms -- bras have always been a struggle and I honestly thought it was me! I hate to try them on in the store (who doesn't!?) and even if you get a professional bra fitting, not all bras are created equally, and not all 38Bs are the same size. I know I'm not alone with my complaints about these torture devices -- I hated bras!I stumbled upon Vanity Fair Women's Body Caress Beauty Back Full Coverage Underwire Bra 75335 on another website, and the description sold me. They said the cups aren't too thick, but thick enough for modesty. The shoulder straps aren't super wide or too narrow. The back strap doesn't bind. I know a lot of other bra companies claim things like this, but I checked out Amazon, where of course it sells for less and with free shipping and great reviews, so I gave it a shot. OMG! no binding! it doesn't ride up! the cups are thin, but not too thin! and although I do have the comparably infrequent occasion to push the straps back on my shoulders, this bra is convertible. You can cross the straps in the back with clasps that are like the clasp on a front-closure bra. I have not crossed the straps yet, so I'm not sure how you get the bra on after they're crossed (I guess over your head like a shirt?), but I'm sure it can be done!Another benefit that I wasn't really looking for is the back-smoothing feature. The back strap is smooth and non-binding and stays in place. That's really all I was looking for in this regard, but the back-smoothing was a bonus. When I went to fill out this review on Amazon, one of the buttons I was asked to select first was for fit: Too small, Somewhat small, Fit as expected, Somewhat large, Too large. There was no "Fit so much better than expected that I bought two more!" but if there was, I would have selected it.I had always been told to wear a bra that is close to your skin tone, in case there are any see-thru or thin areas of your shirt, your bra won't be obvious; in other words, don't wear a black bra with a black shirt if your skin is white (or vice versa). And I have always followed this advice, who cares about a stupid ill-fitting bra anyway! But this bra fit so well that I bought it in Steele Violet, Damask Neutral and Shy Pink. Colors are fun! I plan to buy more when/if the other colors I like are available in my size -- and I definitely plan to have a couple backups of the colors I already have. I have never looked forward to wearing a bra, or even worn one without dread and frustration. I have never wanted more than one of a style. Now I want them all! Again, this is absolutely the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. I can't say I don't feel it, but I can say that it's more of a feeling of support; it's not digging in or too tight or stabbing me with the underwires. This bra has far exceeded my expectations. This is the first bra that I've truly loved. The fit is phenomenal, and I find that my clothes look much better. Also, I don't have the worry I used to have, of the girls slipping out when I bent forward, and was wearing the wrong size. My only complaint would be the sizing table. This does NOT work for a lot of women, me included. I have the perfect fit...cup completely filled in, no wrinkling, chafing, bulges, etc., when I measure the band size UNDER my bust, and then the cup size, and subtract the band from the cup to get my cup size. In my case it's a 34 D, which is a size difficult to find except online, (I would be a 36C if I measured their way, which would give me a VERY loose band that provided zero support, and spilling out of the cups) which is probably why I've never had a good fitting bra before. So I would highly recommend that you measure how it works for you (which I realize you won't know until you try), but if in the past you've had a lot of issues with the band sliding or loose (which I did). cups not completely filled in, bulging out on the sides or in front, sliding out, wires poking you, etc., then your traditional way of fitting is not working for you, and you will need to try what works for you. Wish that Vanity Fair would mention that, because measuring their way would give me a very ill fitting bra, and I would hate it. So other than that it's amazing, seems to be high quality, and I am ordering more. Good luck!!!I love these bras!! The first one I ever bought from this company and in this style were from a department store. I had just stopped nursing my first child, and I still hadn't lost the baby weight. I bought a 38d, and I felt so much better about my appearance!! The bra was very comforatable and attractive, and most importantly, it held up the weight of my much bigger chest very easily!! The D size has a back closure with three prongs. The smaller C size I just recently bought has a back closure with only two prongs. It's still quite supportive as is though.I also love that Amazon sells these bras for much less (about HALF!!) than what I paid in the department store. I also bought the cheapest color, which really isn't ugly at all! Everything about the bra is cute, and I love the level of comfort.I bought 2 of these, size 36D. After it arrived I realized I had already had the exact same bras but I bought them elsewhere. Although they were the same bra and same size, the ones I bought on amazon were slightly smaller. Not too much smaller but I could tell the difference.I love these bras, they fit me so well. I find it perfect for me. I have been measured as a DD but its been 20 years since my change and my breast are no longer full. I do wish i could get a 42D. In a DD I don't fill up the top of the cup sometimes not even a D. If the cup is smaller it cuts into the side of my breast or cuts across the top of my breasts or both.Hand washed this bra and wore it today. Must say I'm impressed with the comfort and fit. After pregnancy and breastfeeding I settled in at a 36DD for the past year, but began work-outs again and was not filling out the DD cups in my bras. So I thought I'd try this in a 36D. I spilled slightly over the sides because I'm in between cup sizes at the moment, but the fit of the straps, underwires, and back was amazing. I didn't tug or adjust it in the entire 10 hours I wore it today. I would recommend this bra and purchase again.Great fit. It is molded but not padded, there is no push-up, just support. However, there is some spillage in the sides so I can't give 5 stars. I have a lot of Victoria Secret bras, but am looking at other options due to the poor fit of their bras. I'm a 34D and don't like push-up, but want enough coverage so that my nipples don't show through. This does the job.I love the shape of Vanity Fair bras, they are never pointy or look weird like some do. This is a very comfortable and nice bra. The back doesn't cause you to look like you have back fat where you don't (or make it look worse if you do!), it smoothes it out. Always a plus.bought one in every colourMy favorite bra. The criss cross back option is the best. No sliding down straps. The perfect bra for me. Light padded, great shape (underwired) yet comfortable.Very comfortable bra! Glad I found them as I've been buying the same brand and size for 10 plus years : )Fits well, supportive, and comfortable.
